Dear Friend,
You are warmly invited to enjoy a soul biography that captures the essence of David Levy’s stewardship of Mayacamas Ranch + Sanctuary. This film marks the beginning of a transformative journey as we prepare to reactivate the land, creating a space for healing and regeneration.
In 2026, we will bring back the Mayacamas Ranch experience, inviting you to participate in “Retreat to Home,” a retreat designed to help us pause in nature, reset, and reimagine our collective future. This collaboration with Nic Askew of Innerview has allowed us to create a unique soul biography experience, tapping into the primordial energy of the land. Mayacamas, meaning “source of water,” symbolizes our courage and the voice of leaders. Through this connection, we can uncover our hidden inner voices and share them with the world.
We will be offering soul biography experiences on the land from mid-February to mid-April 2026. This is just the first phase of a broader vision—Phase 2 will focus on establishing the Rock Creek Institute as a community of stewards. In this phase, we will invite individuals to serve as board members, ensuring that we honor our relationship with the land and each other.
As we move forward, we envision a place where nature can be accessed affordably, especially for caregivers and frontline responders who support the well-being of our society. We aim to create a scholarship fund and establish 12 circles representing various initiatives, all designed to foster community and stewardship.
Join us in this sacred journey. Together, we can build a bridge to a reimagined future where well-being becomes our guiding principle.
A letter from filmmaker Nic Askew
In August of this year, while filming with David Levy of the Rock Creek Institute, I experienced something extraordinary on a piece of land in Northern California — the Mayacamas Sanctuary.
My life’s work over the last two decades has been pioneering a fusion of cinematography and consciousness through Soul Biographies and Inner View. By sitting utterly still with thousands of subjects before a camera, I’ve learned how to reveal a person’s interior world so profoundly that the experience transforms not only the one being seen, but also the one witnessing.
On this land, it became unmistakably clear to me: when the Inner View process is held in the energetic presence of this place, its effect amplifies beyond anything I have known.
There is a partnership here — between human beings and the land itself — that feels sacred.
This December, I will return to California to develop the details of a formal partnership with David and Mayacamas Media. Together, we are designing an extraordinary human experience— one that reconnects participants deeply to nature, to each other, and to the whole. This will be achieved through the transformative Inner View process, cinematic storytelling, and the profound energy of the land itself.
Through my work, I have come to a singular observation:
The root of all human suffering — and the dysfunction that flows from it — is the assumption that we are separate. Separate from nature, and from each other. But we are not and never have been.
We just hadn’t noticed.
I have also realized that a reconnection to nature, to each other, and to life itself is how the voice that humanity now requires will find us.
The experience we are building is designed to bring people to this realization directly. Whenseparation dissolves, lives change course. Participants emerge as living contributions to the whole, and from this, a different kind of leadership and creation becomes possible.
Looking ahead to 2026, I intend to spend two to three months on site, delivering and evolving this work with David and his team. Mayacamas Media will not be just another production company. Its mission is to disrupt the global media landscape at its very origin point — shifting where words are spoken from, and what voices rise to be heard. We intend to fill the world with voices that speak on behalf of nature and the collective soul, universal and deeply truthful.
